Our radiant barrier pricing is .49 cents per square foot installed when we install it on top of the existing insulation. If we go to the rafters it is .69 cents per square foot installed because of the extra labor and time. Generally speaking, it takes at least 20% more material than the square footage of your house for material overlap when installing the radiant barrier on top of the existing insulation but in some cases when you have a lot of raised ceilings it could take as much as 30% more material. When going to the rafters it depends on the pitch of the roof but usually it takes at least 30%-50% more material to do the job.
